San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator DeMeco Ryans has emerged as a top candidate for the Houston Texans’ head coaching job, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported Friday, per sources.
Ryans has led consecutive top-three defenses within the NFL since changing into the 49ers DC two seasons in the past. The 38-year-old coordinator is one among the top head coaching candidates throughout this hiring cycle after being interviewed by a number of groups.
